Where Sari meets Chanel
5:42 PM

Adapting to changes without compromising your self-identity- the ultimate solution to face Globalisation. Globalisation is a huge word that broguht about many repercussion in many countries. Citizens are encouraged to take up more languages, we are required to be aware of current affairs, not only in our own country but we must start cultivating the habit of understanding what is happening around us, in our region, throughtout the world. Nonchalance has no place in today's world.

We cannot eliminate Globalisation, it is here to stay, there is little point whining how cultural colonialists supplant our national traditions instead we should learn how to adapt to these changes, Quoted from the source, it is stated that homegrown luxury goods and branded imports are evolving together amid India's wealth. No doubt the stiff competition between Chanel and traditional sari, but there are some, who choose not to subscribe to the idea. At Ensemble, one of India's most famous high-end fashion boutiqus decided to call for change, to innovate, tradtional sari with a tinge of western flavour, the result- a globalised look.

We have to stay relevant wherever our feet set upon. We cannout afford to look weird in the eyes of other people. No doubt, we should cling on and stay rooted to our culture and traditions but being in a interdependant world, the task seems pretty challenging BUT not impossible. All we need is a change of mindset and attitude. In Singapore, the effective education allows us to be exposed to the world. We are trained to be world shakers and global leaders. Take General Paper for instance. Demanding as it seems, it actually provides a golden oppotunity for the students to stay relevant, skills needed to be a world citizen.

We are talking about the world. We are world citizens. Look at India! Sari with Chanel!! Cross-cultural style influence- it's so this season!

PS: My GP homework, it's always not marked and I don't wish to waste my effort so..here you go =D

This year's lunar new year is somehow more special, or rather, simpler than the previous years. There was simply the absence of the "new year" mood and in fact, my mind is focused on my homework, yes without a doubt, HOMEWORK.

I really wish i can finish my stack of work this long break. Orientation 2 is coming up and i'm so gonna be busy. Unfortunately, SPA and Common Test is tailing closely behind it. that's luck can.

Went back to Juying this morning, haha. i skipped school. yes!!! Met the teachers, chat a little, and headed to meet my classmates for reunion lunch. MOODY and SEXY DARLINGS were there. Headed home and rested.

what's next? spend time with my tutorials =D bye!
